I for one would take 35+. 38-40 million awesome but I don’t see us getting the 45. In my other blog with projected future line ups I am sure we need to inject pace at the back particularly if GON decides he wants to play 4 in defence. We got shredded last year ( remember Brighton?) so we need a pacey ball playing CH. I can see Mosquera there after 1-2 years when Dawsons time is done then Lima slots to RB but a key signing has to be that ball playing CH with pace. Toti can then be the ball winning tackler he has proven to be.

I really rate Max and, given the financial situation, I would stick with the 45mill.
If no one pays up then he stays. And that’s fine by me. Toti and Mosquera are both quick and Max himself is no slouch. Keep him.He likes it here.

A premier league established two-footed English defender like Max is probably worth 40+ especially given his good injury record and captaincy experience. I’m very excited to see Mosquera and hope he’s willing to play for the club he’s contracted too after some of his late season comments

Hopefully those comments were made after he was asked by local media how he’d enjoyed his season and whether he would like to come back next year. He can hardly say he’d hated it after doing so well.
Maybe he over-egged it a bit.
