As part of the deal for MGW Wolves will receive 7.5 million if forest qualify for ANY european football.
This will bring the total for MGW to 42.5 million, is that more that Jota?
It would be close depends on add ons, think I would rate MGW above jots judged on what he brings to forest and not so injury prone
Fingers crossed they make Europe then, though I think I’d like it to happen irrespective of the money. Good to see someone else getting the limelight for a change.
The news on the transfer front seems promising at the moment with, hopefully, Cunha staying and Agbadou incoming. Neither of these events will help us against Forest though so it will be fascinating to see how Vítor sets us up and how we perform against the seasons surprise packet.
Some doubts about Andre too and I feel he would be a massive loss.
Difficult to say who, if anyone, will come out on top in this and if my head ruled my heart I would have to say that Forest’s recent form should make them favourites. But Wolves under Pereira are something of an unknown quantity as yet and this could make Nuno’s preparations a bit hit and miss.
Either way, my head rarely rules my heart.
Wolves 2 v 1 Forest
As much as we all loved Nuno. Even at his peak (top 7 finishes) we did struggle to put away teams who say deep to prevent the counter attacks. Teams like Huddersfield and Watford spring to mind as particularly turgid encounters. Sitting deep may be the way tomorrow. It will probably be pretty boring but it may be enough to see us nick a 1-0 or 2-1 win. I was quite pleased over Xmas as I predicted a 2-0 win over Man U and a 2-2 draw at Spurs. I am going 2-1 V Forest as I can see them getting a goal. But with a vociferous crowd behind us I think we get 2. The VP revolution continues.
Yeah good to see forest doing well and manure, spurm and wham looking to sack their manager’s as well as trying to poach our players.
A CfH insight on how to play against Nuno would have been useful at this point.
Hopefully, snow permitting, I will be sat in the Steve Bull tomorrow night for a boring 1-0 win.
I’d go for a boring 1-0 even a boring 0-0. Need to deal with MGW and especially Chris wood who scores for fun against us,
Crowd should be up for it, is snow predicted? Kick off 9am over here might have reached 20degs by then, sorry to rub it in
Hope Nuno gets a good reception
No snow predicted in Wolverhampton according to Met Office app. By 8pm kick off time the temperature will be a balmy 1c.with a wind chill of -3. It should be dry but very cold. I will be putting my massive coat on and will be in my usual seat in the North Bank.
I’m sure that Nuno will get a very warm and deserved welcome tonight.
I just wish that we could put all the MGW nonsense to bed.
I get the impression that he didn’t want to leave the club that he supported but Nuno didn’t really play him and Bruno clearly didn’t appreciate what he was giving up.
Aside from all that, booing and jeering usually blows up in your face anyway. An applause for him as well may just take some edge off of his game.
Cheesy I remember hitchhiking from London in the the sunshine wearing a t-shirt only to reach Brum and a blizzard, and to cap it off the game was postponed
The amount of times I bloody froze up there thinking the weather surely can’t be that different over a 100 mls
Keep warm chaps
Yeah. I remember going to Leyton Orient away back in the day. It was dry and chilly in London. By the time we got back towards Birmingham there was a blizzard and 4 inches of snow!!
