Where will Wolves finish in 2025?

Some doom and gloom predictions out there on social media. I read 19th with 29 points somewhere on a super computer. I reckon we will be ok. Key is to get over a difficult first 6 games. I would probably take min 4 points from those. Hope we get more. Then of course it’s the quest for 38/40 points as soon as possible. I think we might finish above this year (14th). Somewhere top ten down. Maybe another signing or two in the window. We will see.

I can’t see any reason why we can’t finish well above this season’s 14th.
The three new guys all seem to be excellent additions and several of our players who were loaned out last year have come back and impressed. Mr O’Neil has enjoyed the benefit of a pre-season and has the time to instill his methods in his team and the players, by all accounts, are responding very positively.
The question is then, what’s not to like?

8th place.

I would like to think top 10. Our form towards the end of last season, once the magic 40 was secured saw us drop off. New signings will have some impact. Need to make the Mol an uncomfortable place to play, that will help. Bring it on, as ever we start very hopeful.
KTF.

I think a top half finish as long as we can keep the top players (Cunha, Neto, Gomez, RAN, Channy) with the new 2024 recruits. The forward line looks more formidable than last year.
Out of interest William Hill have a Wolves top half finish as 4/1.
Last year Wolves were only 3 points away from a top half finish and the last 10 matches were horrible due to injuries.

Dunno if I’m on this site or not, hope so,seen some familiar posts.
Think we’ll be ok but just miss out on europe as a regular wolves trait is to fade towards the end of the season, can’t see why Guedes is there I perceive him as a negative influence rightly or wrongly,
I think the key is keeping Hwang and Neto fit but at least we’ve got reinforcements now
Up up and away the mighty wanderers

Just changing the subject for a minute. RIP Craig Shakespeare. A local bloke with connections to Walsall and Birmingham/Villa. Taken at the terribly early age of 60. Just seems 5 minutes since he announced the diagnosis. And now gone.Life is precious. Make the most of it

Condolences to Craig Shakespeare’s family, friends and colleagues; far too young to leave them all.
I would hope to see us finish in the top ten and with a chance to qualify for Europe. But, this will depend on who is left in our squad after the window and whether we have managed to obtain good back up for our main target man in my opinion.
The team looks so much better balanced with a proper leader of the line , which we have not had since our Mexican wonder was so seriously injured. It seems like a long time ago now and it has taken forever to rectify the damage. I’ve not been impressed by this to be honest. Maybe Kalajdzic will recover and do a job as cover, but we can not rely on that. Nathan Fraser needs regular game time for me and needs to be loaned out. I think he looks promising but young strikers need to be scoring and it rarely occurs in the top league. So we need a proven back up and they are difficult to find close to home.
A back four with an ageing Dawson is a gamble to prioritise so I hope we are able to use our plan B effectively (three CBs); knowing the management and having had a preseason I would expect it to be in the locker. A dominant and organising CB seems to be a necessity with a young Mosquera being developed; he does look to be class as does Chiquinho up and down the wing. I will be amazed if Neto does not go and gains us some cash to invest with. If one of our big players leaves it needs to be sooner rather than later imo to allow us to buy what we need.
I’m starting to get excited as the opening day nears and will be across from Debenham to attend the Rayo Vallecano game with mostly the first team playing.
Good luck to us all!

Just to endorse your comment about life being precious Cheeseburger - I found myself in A&E on Monday, being tested, examined, scanned (CT & MRI), etc.- at least it confirmed I’d had a TIA. I was back there again in Wednesday for 22 hours and much more of the same. They uncovered a couple of problems I didn’t know I had - which is good of course - but didn’t really find out what had caused the problem I went in with. So I would agree - life is precious and everyone should certainly make the most of every moment of it.

Hope everything works out well Jazz mate. Just to share my own story. In 2015 I had a large tumour grow out of my neck . It started as a small white pimple. 9 months later it was as big as a mushroom. Everyone at work kept saying get it checked out. Typical bloke I said it’s just a cyst or something. Eventually went to docs. Referred to hospital specialist. Surgery. Biopsy. Malignant cancer. Caught it early. Surgery was enough. 9 years later. Still ok. Hope all works out well mate. To others. Don’t just leave stuff. Get it fixed early. Wolves ay we!
