Well, another game that we desperately need 3 points! If we win this that will be 8 points from past 4 games and undefeated in past four, not too shabby! That is a big “if!”
And an in form Raul might have something to say about that! And Tarore! And an in form Fulham!
But this game is winnable. Barring no poor VAR decisions, a little luck, and playing decent football for more than half-an hour.
Santo Bueno is probably injured, but would definitely still play 3 at the back, and a deep midfielder in the early part of the game!
Just a quick comment for now. Wolves have scored the same number of goals as Fulham . Difference is they have conceded 13 to our 27. DEFENCE IS THE KEY !! Agree back 5 required.
The centre half situation is chronic, even if Santi proves to be fit enough to play. January can’t come quick enough as another injury in the back three could be a dagger to the heart. Having said that, young Alfie Pond has all he needs to be an excellent defender except experience. I fear he will be gaining that too before long.
Otherwise, Flum have loads of threats and we’ll need to be at our best to glean any points from the encounter.
Flum 1 v 2 Wolves

A trip to Fulham away always a good one. I remember going there on a Tuesday night game (involving a mad drinking session on the afternoon down the Kings Road with my Gornal Wolves mates) . We won that night with a late Neil Emblem goal 1-0. I fancy the same tomorrow. It’s mad that Wolves have scored more away goals than Arsenal this season.Other mad things include using a lawnmower to hoover your carpets. Or putting a pair of underpants on your head and running down Gornal high street shouting " My other car is a Rolls Royce" . But not quite as mad as seeing an ice cream van and going up to the bloke and saying " I would like to book a flight to Ulaanbataar Outer Mongolia for next Tuesday please". But no such madness at Craven Cottage tomorrow. A solid defensive display. And a late winner from JSL in the 86th minute. Just like Neil Emblem all those years ago. FLUM 0 WWFC 1.
Got a chance to watch Fulham at Selhurst Park a couple of weeks ago. They were very good going froward (particularly in the second half), with really slick and confident passing between midfield and the front line. Both Raul and Smith-Rowe were absolute menaces. They could have scored a hat-full and also had a couple of goals disallowed with marginal offsides. Honestly think if they play at the same level it will be really difficult to keep them out. I do think we can score against them, but I’d be pleasantly surprised if we manage to get a result. Fulham 3 Wolves 1
It will be 7am kickoff for me and I’ll have a cappuccino and Mimosa ready …as will the missus…can we get to half time without conceding? I doubt it and sod’s law usually operates when old boys are around…just hope Traore is not unleashed until late.
Meantime the prediction sites are all staying with 2-1,can we get the late one that confounds them? Big few games coming and they will define the season…sorry that’s GBO
We’ve had some good results against Fulham of late but Jimenez is on form ,scored for Mexico as well I think we’ll struggle but might snatch a point
Raul 2 wolves 2
I won’t begrudge Raul a goal against us after the shabby way he was let go by JLo. I still think that GON could have got him back to his best the same as the Fulham boss has.
Still, our loss and The Cottagers gain.
Traore is a different matter. He will never really settle wherever he goes (unless it’s Barca or Real, and he’s just not good enough for that).
And our man Forbs is quicker than him apparently.
I’ll take a draw thanks.
Mmmm, Forbs is quick DG,for sure, but I fear he may be all too similar to Adama in that he’s a little erratic at the end of it all. Early days on that front though and with that pace, he’ll at least keep defenders honest and stop them pressing up too high on us.
