What happened there?
But whatever did happen, or happens in future, we MUST hold on to Matheus Cunha.
A ‘BIG’ club is, even as I write this, starting to count their spare dosh in order to make an ‘Offer we can’t refuse’ for our star player.
A great result, a great performance and we are out of the bottom three.
A bottle of Prosecco is chilling and about to be cracked.
Saw the defensive line up and thought shit might as well go back to bed,Raul is going to have a field here, how bloody wrong I was we are wolves and don’t adhere to the script glad I stayed up and it got better with city getting a hiding
Yeah mate. I thought exactly the same. Then 1-0 down. Raul amazingly misses from six yards out. Here we go. 3 or 4 nil coming. But football is mad. We get a bit of momentum. We have also changed our luck. Suddenly get a bit of the rub of the green. Even a couple of VAR go our way. Remember Villa away. 1-0 up. A deflection off RAN goes about 1 inch the other side the post. Could have easily gone in and 2-0. Then they get the lucky bounce off Mario. And Dawson challenge deflects off Watkins in to the net. Let’s kick on and get up the league. PPG now shows 30 points is enough.
With Ruben Neves making his recent appearance at the Mol, Mateus’s second goal has been compared to the maestro. But Ruben’s influence was all over the first goal too with Mario’s stunning, pinpoint pass also reminiscent of the great man.
Check out the view from behind Mario as he spots the run, makes the pass then waits to see the ensuing carnage.
What a great day.
Credit to Gary and the team for going with the 4 at the back when he didn’t against Brighton first half and we should of. After a shaky start the defensive shape and team balance worked well. With wingers supporting full backs and Lemina dictating this could be the template.
Having reflected on the result for 24 hours. IT’S STILL BRILLIANT! BUT. What I really want to say is the quality of our 4 goals. Everyone well worked . Obviously we have Brazilian internationals who can finish but that’s not the point. It seems we might just be seeing the evolution of a team full of verve and attacking devilment. We have scored one goal less than Arsenal. If GON can keep the goals out the other end we might be looking at some exciting times ahead . Funny old game …
Fantastic win
Will be a massive confidence booster
All players upping their game if we can keep going then the escape route is beckoning …
Our new talisman worth about 60m
I reckon Arsenal will knock on the door so we must say FO…
Wonderful to watch match of the day
We’ve jumped another universe indeed…
I went with two mates who are Fulham fans and most unexpectedly found myself having to struggle not to celebrate. Wasn’t expecting that to be the main challenge of the afternoon! And we were so quick on the counter. Really impressive turnaround and the promise of a points harvest between now and 1st January. Excellent.
Didn’t see it coming…overslept a bit then turned on Peacock ( a shit way to watch as you can’t stop the match) only to find us 0-1 and then, hey presto and within seconds… a “training ground move” really??
Oh happy days…and I still cannot believe Lemina in defence…but hey lets try it again.
