Important games for the men and the women’s teams over the weekend.
The girls take on the mighty Manure in what must class as their biggest game ever. Sell out crowd and live on YouTube, it would be a massive upset if they could beat one of the top teams in the land.
Sunday see’s us away to one of the best teams in the Championship. Vítor played a strong team against Brizzle in the third round and I hope he does the same in this. I doubt that will include our two newbies from the start but, if all is going well, perhaps they’ll get cameos later.
Hopefully we can advance to the 5th round 'cause I’d love another day out at Wembley.
COYW and COYWW
Hope he plays a strong team as we have a week before the Liverpool game. Would love another cup run as felt cheated after Seville and Watford though for different reasons.
Had tickets for tomorrow but cant go as i am still recovering from a severe chest infection which started on 2 jan so have missed quite a few games. Did manage to get to villa though.
Blackburn played on tuesday and play again next wednesday against our neighbours.
Would like to have a strong win to keep the winning feeling going. And a clean sheet to show our defence is improving.
3-0 would be perfect.
Danny Batth will hopefully be playing for Blackburn.
Hes one ex-player I dont mind watching.
Maybe Andy Weiman and Dion Sanderson too.
Let’s hope they don’t all score against us.
Dion is cup tied having played for Birmingham in a previous round.
Enjoyed Danny playing, especially when he cleared off the line, good memories.
Oh and one final point Chris Sutton you can suck on this you prat.
I particularly enjoyed when Agadoo was involved in a rugby type scrum with a Blackburn player. This lad is built like a brick shithouse and I can see him becoming a cult hero. In the hat. I want a home draw against anyone now the Scouser are out. Another Wembley trip and day out on the beer in London will be most welcome. Last time we were there V Watford in 2019 we were having a few round Camden Town before the game and guess who we bumped in to on the way down Camden high street? None other than Robert Plant. To be fair to him he stopped and had a chat about the match. A real nice bloke as well. Surreal standing there in London talking to a massive rock n roll legend about the Wolves!.
Plymouth away please. (Can’t believe I’m saying that).
Not Villa please as they will want revenge.
Fabio Silva has said that Nuno was the best manager at Wolves for him.
20 million and he can transfer to Forest and we will even pay the taxi fare.
Seriously the prince couldn’t handle the price tag and expectation on his young shoulders, hopefully he will come good and start rebuilding his career.
As long as he doesn’t rebuild his career in England and score his obligatory goal against us.
See we got Bournemouth away, simply bugger,
Absolutely shocking 5th round draw. If you are away you want a big ground and about 8000 tickets. So what do we get ? Fucking Bournemouth. 1500 tickets max. Tin pot ground. The fuckin Bescot is bigger down the road. And I wouldn’t mind betting we will be Friday night at 8pm on telly just to make it even more infuriating. …apart from that not a bad draw
Yep. It’s officially the worst draw in the history of the FA Cup.
Interesting that 17% of Bournemouth goals have come from penalties. Compare and contrast to Wolves where 0% of goals have come from penalties. Bournemouth have scored 41. Wolves 34. …they say these things even themselves out (just like VAR)… Funny how such a significant proportion of Bournemouth goal are penalties.
They say there’s lies, damn lies and statistics Cheesey. Although your statistic looks pretty damming, perhaps they’ve spent more time with more players in the opposition box than we have. Or perhaps they’re just experts at diving or they hardly ever score from open play.
Or maybe, just maybe, the officials really do have it in for us. Heaven forbid.
On a different note Wolfie. I got an email today off Twixo (off the old Wolves Blog). He is in NZ visiting his daughter and was boasting about going in a pub in Christchurch which I frequented in 2018 on an a trip out to see NZ V England in the cricket. The Bog ! A proper Irish boozer with bands on and stuff. I replied to saying jealous of him being in the southern hemisphere sun but I may well get round to another NZ trip soon. And another visit to The Bog.
Jeezz Cheesey. It’s a long way to go to the Bog.
I know Twixxy is in NZ as I still bump into him occasionally when I’m up for a match. In fact, it was down to him that I was able to get to the Brizzle cup tie. Lovely fellah.
Yeah. Some good characters off the old Blog. Who could forget the legendary Clive From Houston. I reckon he is predicting Liverpool 1 Wolves 5 from up above:slightly_smiling_face:
Let’s hope he’s got some influence up there.
So, it’s the 5th round and it seems almost like deja vue, all over again.
Another away tie, just as we’ve faced in the previous two rounds. Also, a return to the south Dorset coast, just as we did one week ago.
We achieved an unlikely three points in the league match and progress to the next round of the Cup seems equally unlikely.
But Vítor has gone quite strong in the competition so far and as our fears of relegation ease a little, the chances of progression in the Cup become ever more appealing.
Bournemouth too I’m sure would value a win and passage through to the quarters, so I feel both teams will be going for it.
Why it wasn’t chosen for the telebox I can’t imagine.
What a disastrous day that was, no cunha for next important 3 games the 3 teams below us must be happy as, played extra time so will be knackered for next game, and doc usually so reliable will be gutted
On a positive which is against my nature Toti was immense and Bueno not to shabby either and after that display Johnson should be gutted if he don’t keep his place .
Bournemouth have just made it to my odious horrible nasty little team list
