Chelsea at the Mol

This time last year, if you asked a neutral which club was in the most turmoil, 99% would have said Wolves. One year on, we have been usurped by Chelsea albeit for totally different reasons. We had a tiny squad which had lost many of it’s most trusted troops. Our manager had stepped into the breach at the last minute and we were up against the PSR wall. Chelski, on the other hand, have more players than you can shake a stick at. So many, in fact, that they will have to have a fire sale during the last week of the window or have some very unhappy players around the place.
We have a brilliant recent record against the Blues. Their team is always stuffed full of the finest ingredients but they rarely seem, nowadays, to get the recipe quite right. The final dish always seems to be either soggy in the middle or burnt around the edges. They keep trying to fix it by sprinkling on more sugar but they’ve simply created something of a bloated, rather sickly mess.
Our squad is looking in fine fettle at the moment and this will be the first real test of our credentials. No one could expect much from the game last week but we still gave it a pretty good shot. I’m hopeful we can get our first points on the board in this.

Good summary. Hope we start solidly but with intent. It’s a good opportunity to get good points on the board and build confidence.

Nice Post WS

I guess they will field Pedro because they can… just to wind us up

Hope the Mol gives him a warm
Welcome …. He’s clearly a good bloke

See Traore is still going well at Fulham

Miss him too

Meantime rumours of Zaha make me excited as we need that nuttiness that all 3 players have and that causes mayhem

As for tomorrow… a draw wouldn’t be horrible but hopefully we keep Palmer under watch

2-1

Looking forward to the match. Sad last night watching match of the day and remembering how underrated Kilman was by wolves fans. Also sad Adama would not sign new contract as think Gary would have improved him. He is doing well at Fulham.
As to today, just hope we can bring the energy and attacking football from the pre season tour games.
Hoping for a 3-1 win.

Afternoon all - or morning in Marin’s case (and I daresay for many others out there).

I’m going for a 2-1 to us. First game and a great start to the season.
