My cup is now totally empty

Well the news out that we’ve lost are only defensive shining light for the rest of the season was inevitable
Let’s hope Alfie pond can hit the ground running and become the new frank Munro/ Jodie Craddock
I’m usually a glass half empty kind of guy but my glass is now cracked and leaking profusely :sunglasses:

Luckily my early season PPG survival number is 24 points. This will inevitably get higher but as games go by will level out. Don’t forget last season 27 points would have kept someone up. In this respect we need 9 wins. I suspect it may be a bit higher this season. And as is all things Wolves it will probably be 42 points ! :slightly_smiling_face:

Just been reading the local Wolvo paper Express and Star . Good read about how Wolves have a fairly good record v Liverpool at Molineux. Included some quotes from THE KING (John Richards). November 1980 we are in the relegation mire with injuries. Up against Liverpool including the likes of Clemence. Neal. Souness. Tuesday night. Floodlights. Wolves won 4-1 out of nowhere. The King said even he couldn’t believe it. It’s football. Anything can happen. We are due some luck. Molineux. 5.30. Floodlights. Bring it on!

Well, I for one will not be hiding! Come kickoff time I will be in front of the tv to watch Wolves! A beer in one hand and a lot of hope, but I will be looking at them through thick and thin, win or lose, great or aweful, first half or second half, but watch the game I will!
Not a happy clapper, but happy to watch my team, the only team.
I have never given up on anything in my life, and I don’t plan to start now!
Up the Wolves!

Well said SKW.
I shall be in the pub with my fellow Wolves fans, team shirt on, giving it to the Liverpool fans (we’ll outnumber them anyway), happy to cheer 'em on through thick and thin.
The fact of the matter is, even though it may not happen often, a win against the odds is far more enjoyable than just claiming another, expected, three points.

The latest news Wolves v Liverpool: Who's out and who's a doubt | Express & Star

is that there is a virus in the Wolves camp. I don’t know any more because there is a paywall.

It reminds me of the John Cleese knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, the end line being ‘Let’s call it a draw’ or something to that effect.

So it’s Wolves 2 Liverpool 2 for me.

On another matter, the end of season ballbash is back!

It’s at Novotel Wolverhampton on the evening of 24 May 2025, ahead of the Brentford match the next day. Food is a three-course buffet @ £30pp.

I have also secured preferential room rates at £119 per night - it is £159 on their site and on Booking.com. Some of us are stopping overnight, so we can chill after the party.

Let me know if you are up for (a) the meal and (b) need a room/s. There is free cancellation, up to 14 days before the event, on the latter.

Yerson Mosquera will be a massive loss to us this season, or at least until the January window. Meanwhile, I guess young Alfie Pond will be draughted into the first team squad. We saw Master Pond perform very well against Brighton in the Carabao and he always impresses in the U21’s. But the Premier League is a big step up, especially in a 4-at-the-back. I don’t really feel our first team centre halves have it sussed so young Master Pond?
Otherwise, there’s a virus in the camp, Toti is still a doubt and we’re welcoming one of the form teams in the land to the Golden Palace. So, what could possibly go wrong?
Frankly, few would predict a home win but Wolves love upsetting applecarts. Forest shocked the football world by doing 'em and I wouldn’t be surprised to see us do the same thing.

Adversity just seems to bond the true supporters even more.
Never better exemplified than when you travel to an away game to support your team when relegation has already been confirmed.
For sure, I’d rather be winning all/some of the time but these are the days when supporting them simply transcends the fundamental reason for why we do.
Keep the gold flag flying high…

That dna of ours is doing its thing again.
Real Misery and it could be 6 yet…

We just havent got the players to survive this…

Only hope is to buy new defense players…and rebuild from the back inc a goalie…

We are like a sieve
